Catalog Operating Conditions
- Working pressure: 0.6–1.0 MPa.
- Inlet temperature: 0–45°C.
- Pressure dew point: −20°C to −40°C, depending on the selected configuration and operating conditions.
- Regeneration air: catalog range approximately 7%–11%; confirm the actual requirement.
- Inlet oil content: less than 0.1 mg/m³.
- Desiccant: alumina.
- Operating cycle: 2–8 hours.
Electric Heating and Purge Air
One tower dries compressed air while the off-line tower regenerates with electrically heated dry purge air. The towers switch automatically to maintain the air supply.
Heating reduces the purge-air requirement compared with the heatless catalog range of 14%–20%, but adds electrical consumption. Compare heater electricity and the compressor energy used for purge air together; lower purge demand alone is not proof of lower total energy use.
Filtration and Selection
The dryer removes moisture. Oil control depends on upstream separation and filtration; it does not by itself guarantee oil-free air.
- State the usable air flow required after the dryer and the compressor delivery.
- Provide working pressure, highest inlet temperature and target pressure dew point.
- Confirm available 380V / 50Hz / 3PH supply, duty cycle and installation space.
- Describe upstream water separation and oil filtration.
