1. Define the air quality you actually need
The first decision is not the dryer model. It is the required pressure dew point and the process you need to protect.

Refrigerated Air Dryers
Use when: the goal is dependable moisture removal for general industrial compressed air.
Key selection data: actual flow, working pressure, inlet air temperature and maximum ambient temperature.
Do not size only from compressor motor power. Actual conditions determine real dryer capacity.
Desiccant Air Dryers
Use when: the process requires a sub-zero pressure dew point or very dry compressed air.
The regeneration method affects both investment and operating cost. Heatless systems are simple, while heated, blower and heat-of-compression systems can reduce purge-air demand in suitable applications.
